Drainage & Erosion Control
Expert drainage, waterproofing, and erosion control. No more muddy yards, fewer mosquitos, and a dry, usable outdoor space.

Water that has nowhere to go ends up where you don’t want it: pooling in the lawn, soaking the soil against your foundation, washing mulch and topsoil down a slope, and sitting long enough to breed mosquitos. Drainage, waterproofing, and erosion control is the heart of what we do, and the goal is simple: no more muddy yards, fewer mosquitos, and a dry, usable outdoor space.
Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Allen blends deep plant knowledge with drainage expertise to solve your yard’s toughest challenges. That combination matters, because a good drainage fix moves the water where it can soak in or flow away safely while the lawn and planting beds around it stay healthy.
Every yard is different, so the fix depends on where the water comes from and where it can go. That can mean a narrow, hand-trenched line for perforated drainpipe that routes runoff away from the foundation and HVAC pad; a dry well, an underground reservoir bedded with clean stone that collects roof and yard runoff and lets it slowly infiltrate; or a catch basin and trench drain that capture standing water and carry it away through drainage pipe. Basins and pipe are set to the correct depth and slope, then backfilled with stone to keep water moving.
Most drainage projects are completed in about a day and a half, depending on the size and complexity of your yard. We work efficiently to minimize disruption while ensuring quality results, and we stand behind the work with a 3-year warranty.

FAQs
Questions about drainage & erosion control.
Don’t see your question? Give us a call or send a message.
How long does a drainage project take?
Most drainage projects are completed in about a day and a half, depending on the size and complexity of your yard. Our three featured projects each took one to two days.
What’s the difference between a trench drain and a dry well?
A trench drain is perforated pipe laid in a stone-filled trench: it collects water along its length and carries it somewhere else, such as away from the house. A dry well is an underground, stone-filled reservoir that takes in roof and yard runoff and lets it soak slowly into the soil, which helps when there is nowhere downhill to send the water. Some yards need both.
Will the work tear up my lawn?
We work to minimize disruption. On our grassed-slope trenching project, for example, a narrow hand-trenched channel along the slope was enough to lay the line for perforated drainpipe.
How far will you travel for drainage work?
For drainage, waterproofing, and erosion control projects, we’re happy to travel up to 30 minutes from our base in Northern Virginia.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship with a 3-year warranty.
Do you offer financing?
We do not currently offer financing or payment plans for drainage work, but we can work with you to schedule the project at a time that fits your budget.
